Horsehair pottery originated from the practice of honoring fallen war horses by incorporating their hair into pottery. Native American's believed that the spirit of the horse remained. The horsehair is applied at the second firing and leaves its carbon imprint as part of the piece.
This piece is eleven inches high and five inches wide at the base.
This piece comes with two horseshoes welded together to form a hanger.
Any of our pots can be used in our Pots & Friends program, for more information, check here.
